Great show! Kudos to whoever booked this one. Full of talent, grace & excitement from beginning to end.

Vijay Iyer and his trio were wonderful–I don’t think music gets much better than that. I love the recordings but hearing them live was incredible.
Please bring them back soon!

Oh man, this was so hot! I never go to New York anymore and don’t have money for a cab ride through 100 stop lights to two different clubs to hear music like this. Thank you UMS for bringing this unusual and challenging act to the Power Center. Too bad Vijay Iyer didn’t pick up a Grammy last night in L.A…his trio was in a hurry to catch the red eye on Sat. night. Kool! & Bunky Green…WOW!

It’s a pleasure reading your comments! I agree with June, above, that hearing live music can frequently trump even great studio recordings. Glad this “New York” double-bill hit the spot for many of you contributing to this forum and I hope to see you at future Jazz Series offerings.

Great concert! I have been looking forward to seeing Rudresh live for quite some time now and was not disappointed. Much appreciated.
